Batman (Kid Stuff)

From the JLU episode “Kid Stuff” here’s the junior Dark Knight. I made this figure more to compliment my Kid Superman (What’s the point of having just one of them?) And I didn’t want to put too much energy into sculpting another JL kid so I decided Batman was the ideal choice with his wrap-around cape option. What I did was sculpt the head and shoulders, then took a staff accessory (in this case it was the TMNT Silver Sentry’s staff cut in half) and attached it to the bottom of little Batman’s shoulders. Then I placed support sculpey on the other end of the staff to make it stand. I grabbed a piece of vinyl and cut out the cape, then wrapped it around the shoulders, hiding the fact that Batman had a stick for a body. While painting I decided to spring for JL Batman’s blue highlights mostly to make the figure more interesting. I liked it so much I may rework an adult JL Batman with the highlights somewhere down the line! I’m not sure if I’ll ever bother with Kid Wondy and GL though, because, well, they’d be a lot more work than this guy.
