Bizarro Batman By Tim This guy was a completely original idea, probably stemmed from, in part, being over-tired one night and saying to Kevin, “Hey, I wonder if we could make a Bizarro Batman figure.” Well, we both thought it was a fantastic idea, so I went ahead and made him. I took a grapple Batman, sliced his legs off above the knees and turned them (with a little sculpting to make him actually stand-- oh, man, what a pain!). I replaced his head and gloves with a B:TAS style MM4, Battle Staff Batman or something. I attacked his belt with my Dremel, making the spaces between his belt pouches wider. I painted his colors just slightly lighter, and hand painted his bat signal so it would look messy. The fun thing about this guy is that I didn’t ever have to worry about going off model, because I was making it up as I went along! Unfortunatly, this figure design has been made obsolete by the appearance of "Batzarro" in Jeph Loeb's Batman/Superman series. |
