We really struggled with how to make this figure. I originally wanted a figure that would be translucent, so I originally wanted to use the Toy Biz Invisible Woman figure, altered to fit into animated scale. Kevin talked me out of this and convinced me that an opaque but more on-model figure would be the better approach. We used the Hasbro Poison Ivy figure from the Frozen Assets/ Girls of Gotham City 4-Packs. First, I cut off her boot and glove tops, and most of her hair. I popped the head off to make it easier to paint her hair and back. I mostly used a shiny metallic blue for her body, which we think looks icy as an alternative way to showcase her powers. Kevin sculpted her hair for me, making the bottom of it a “third leg,” (anyone who has tried to stand this Hasbro Ivy figure would understand the need for this). I outlined her eyes with a blue marker, and used mod podge to seal on a “3” on her chest, which partially conceals the top of Ivy’s costume’s sculpted line. Overall, I’m happy enough with how she turned out.
