Richter Belmont

Here’s a custom we made for a friend. I wanted to make a Belmont from the legendary Castlevania video game series and thought Richter, from “Dracula X” and “Symphony of the Night”, was both important and visually interesting. The base figure is a Mission Masters glow in the dark Robin with one hand swapped out so he can hold his whip. Tim took on the daunting task of sanding away all of the mattress like details of Robin’s limbs and the other various extraneous parts. I sculpted most of the costume and we shared in the paint job. Tim made his loin cloth strips and his headband tassels from vinyl. The holy cross sub weapon is made from two pieces of toothpick. Technically Richter should have a chain whip, but neither of us wanted to pass up the opportunity to get rid of one of our many Catwoman whips. We gave him some energy reviving food, donated from X-Men’s The Blob.
