This was an interesting project, because it was the first time I ever customized a character I knew absolutely nothing about. This batch of Sluggy customs was a present for Chuck’s brithday that I wanted to be in on despite knowing nothing about the online comic strip. Fortunately, Tim provided me with some reference materials and some background information and I was off to a good start. The head is a modified animated Witchblade Magdelena, and the body is a Witchblade Sarah Pizinni. I removed the coat and sanded away the sleves, giving her bare arms. The Witchblade arm was replaced with, I believe, a Wonder Woman arm. Her hair was made out of sculpey and two small pieces of vinyl for her bangs. I painted her face as best I could to match the Sluggy artwork and then Tim helped me pick out colors for her outfit. I’m told I did well.
