Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch is one of my favorite Marvel characters, and definatly one of my favorite Avengers. When we decided to do Marvel Animated figures for Custom Con 11, I insisted on making this lovely lady. She’s entirely made from a Witchblade Magdalena figure. I really struggled to find a “traditional” costume for Scarlet Witch, and really wasn’t satisfied with any of her costumes throughout her Marvel history. So, I took plenty of liberties and kind of designed my own costume, taking elements from 4 or 5 costumes, including her X-Men Evolution design. Her hair is based on Magdalena’s hair, with a length of Hawkgirl thrown in for style! Her crown is cut from plastic bubble. I wanted to make curly hair, like she always has in the comics, but as Kevin put it, “I think Animated curly hair would bring about the end of the universe.”
