Superman (Battle Damaged)

A.K.A “Desperation Lobotomization Superman.” Again I’m not normally all about pointless variants, but sometimes I can’t resist a cool idea. I justified this custom for a variety of reasons. First the episode he reflects “Doomsday Sanction” is one of the coolest JLUs to date. Second, I had a lot of these extra articulated Supermans and I don’t think they make particularly great base figures, but it worked for this. Finally, I say if you’re going to have a battle damaged variant you might as well make it worth your while and have them be as roughed up as possible (See my “Cult of the Cat” Batman for comparison.) I removed the cape, sanded away the “S” logo and the bulk around Superman’s arm joints, then sculpted over those parts. I also reworked his hair. That’s one messed up Superman.
