An important gap in the animated Avengers was filled with the completion of our beloved God of Thunder. Thor began as a Martian Manhunter, which was sanded and smoothed to get rid of his Red X chest. His left hand was swapped out for an open Batman hand and given a Hammer made from sculpey and the handle made from a random missile. The cape is JL Superman’s. His head was a whole mess of fun, not because it was difficult to sculpt those golden locks onto the Bruce Wayne head or, sculpt the silver part of his helmet, but because of those darn wings! They’re cut from a plastic bubble and it took many coats of white paint and decoupage to make them look right. Then it took a complete resulting of the helmet to attach them semi decently. They’re still a bit crooked but for now I’m satisfied.
